Musical Arts and Dance Week, July 5-9

Mitch Fanning writes:

Hope this finds you well.

And I'm hoping you'll have an interest in and be willing to help promote CCE MAD Week 2010 this year. "Musical Arts & Dance" Week (formerly FiddleWeek) will take place this year July 5-9.

While the week is a celebration of Irish culture and dance, I'm hoping there are many within your sphere of contacts who would be interested in joining us for a week.

Fiddle faculty this year includes Kevin Burke, Brendan Mulvihill, Cleek Schrey, Donna Long and Bob Spates. I'm sure there will be more than a few Highlands, Strathspeys, and Skinner tunes in the mix....

In additional classes lessons, (twice daily, 1.5 hours each), there are lunchtime electives that include bodhran, Celtic crafts, Ceili band, Sean-nos and set dancing, singing/song circle. All full time registrants also receive a single half hour private lesson from one of our staff.

For more information about the week, please see the local Comhaltas website:

Thanks in advance for whatever you can do to help promote this extraordinary week of music making and dance. Hope to see you before then somewhere soon.

With Gratitude and Best Regards,

Mitch Fanning, Director
CCE MAD Week 2010
